CLASS l INSPECTION
1. Check gear ratio
2. Measure carburetor venturi
3. Measure bore, stroke, and CC's
4. Remove deflector cover, check ring number, and round port openings.
CLASS ll INSPECTION-In addition to above.
1. Split crankcase half and remove crank assembly
2. Check for illegal padding in block and polishing.
3. Measure intake and exhaust port dimensions
4. Measure piston dimensions, check for tampering.
5. Measure connecting rods
6. Measure reed stop height, reed port openings, and check for illegal polishing and/or filing
7. weigh flywheel
NOTES:
A. The intent is to race this powerhead in it's stock configuration. No internal modifications, polishing, or balancing is permitted.
B. The exhaust must be run out the bottom of the powerhead. After that any exhaust tuning is permitted.
C. Thermal and anti-friction coatings are not permitted.
D. Any ignition system is permitted.
E. Any Mercury carburetor with a 1"(one inch) venturi is permitted.
F. Ports must be round
G. Mercury 3(three) ring and2(two ring pistons as well as Wiseco 2(two) ring pistons are permitted.
H. Any type of reed material is permitted.
